The drawer box width on a 36" vanity are 6" wide and the drawer box width on a 42" vanity are 7" wide.
The center false drawer on the 36" vanity is 16 1/2" wide and the 42" wide vanity false drawer is 20 1/2" wide. They both will accommodate a 18" wide sink.
