On our York chocolate cabinet the center panel is going to be 11/32nd inch thick. I would not recommend hooking a spice rack to the center panel of the door. I would recommend if you could xxxx it into the actual door if possible. The actual door thickness is about 7/8th inch and seems to hold all the inserts we have in our showrooms.
